Last week my mate managed to win £100 by playing slot machines online. I didn’t even realise you could play them online, I thought it was only in casinos.
I decided to have a go and see if I could be as lucky. Unfortunately I wasn’t, but it must be a fair game if he won!
I ended up spending £10 trying to win and then gave up and instead spent £73 on a new pair of sunglasses! So least I got something good out of the whole experience!

I desperately need to update my businesses server so that I can boost our working efficiency. I am considering the use of Colocation to do this but I’m a little worried about the safety of it all.
Basically my problems are in the fact that I don’t know much I trust just handing over all of our files to some random server somewhere to back up for me. What are the chances of these files getting lost or even held at somekind of legal ransom. My business deals in a very sensitive area and it is very important for it’s continued success and the interests of my clients that the details of our content is kept private. We are a very special kind of consultation you see and discretion is one our main selling points. However, I doubt very much that we could fund our own purpose built server, so what other options are we left with?

We're all tightening our belts these days. I've been trying to save everywhere I can, spending hours on comparison websites for insurance, gas and electricity, and now I've found a great way to buy products for a generous slice off the price.
I was looking for a cheap way to replace our dying washing machine, and came across Comet Clearance Auctions, and eBay-style auction site with a range of products being auctioned off with sizeable discounts.
You have to shop carefully and steer clear of bidding frenzies, but there are great bargains to be had.

Most of the items are unboxed or returned, and some are reconditioned. Reconditioned items have usually had some sort of fault that has been fixed, or have gone through refurbishment after being temporarily used, and are now good as new.
I first heard of reconditioning when we saved hundreds of pounds buying a reconditioned Stannah Stairlift for my parents, but now I have a fully functional reconditioned washing machine in my house - with a full warranty - and will certainly consider this great value option for any purchases in the future!

I am hoping this summer it is going to be a good one! The papers the other day said it was going to be a wet one with some sunny and hot days but you can never tell.
I am sick of going out every year, planning garden parties, buying new summer clothes and never getting to make use of either. We even considered buying one of those gas barbecues but it is just a waste of money here.
Instead I think we will just buy one of those disposable ones when we want a BBQ. It will save money and if it does rain we can put it away for another day, Blacks camping shop are selling them for £2.99, which is a bargain!
Roll on summer!

A recent survey has said that socially connected people live an average of 3.7 years longer.
People who are surrounded by their friends and family are 50% less likely to die early. And the impact is apparently the same as the effects of quitting smoking!
Friends and family can provide support, money if in need and offer lifts. Things you may think are trivial but when in need is very important.
I think this is very important, as life would be dull without your friends and family and also very lonely.
So when I am next deciding whether or not to go out on a Saturday night I will remember this survey! (Although…maybe the alcohol cancels the affect out!)
Take a look at:
